
With the $105 Million Lotto MAX jackpot, residents of Ontario and Quebec — both places of high Lotto MAX sales — are the suspected cause of today’s earthquake. Vancouver residents, after hearing the news, are now referring to the Ontario/Quebec Canadian Jackpot Chasers as “QUAKERS“. With the world coming to Toronto this week for the G50 (GEE I want to win $50 Million on Lotto MAX), the risk of more tremors will be blamed on the ‘QUAKERS’. The province of Quebec has already denied any involvement. If you have not got your ticket yet, please pick a safe time to play. If you leave you ticket purchases to the last few hours of ticket sales, you may lose out on the winning ticket. A 6.5 to 8.0 quake could take out the network that connects lottery terminals in both provinces.
A 5.5-magnitude earthquake has hit Ontario, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Tremors were reportedly felt as far away as Montreal, Boston and Cleveland.
The first tremor hit at 1:40 p.m. ET Wednesday.
