MAX-mania or Lotto MAX fever will be gripping Canada this week for the 3rd straight week. Canadians are dreaming of the $50 Million Lotto MAX jackpot. Thirty of the 45 MAXmillions were won last week. Lottery sales last week jumped 38% to $124,220,195. If we see another 38% increase, lotteries in Canada could be hauling in close to $170 Million.
Canada has seen another Lottery first as the MAXmillions have exceed the $50 Million Jackpot to $55 Million. Long story short, there is $105 Million up for grabs.
The MAXmillions with a one-in-600,000 shot are helping create the excitement. Even if you do not hit the $50 Million Jackpot, winning a $1 Million prize like 30 Maxmillion winners did last week would be reason to celebrate.
The first $50 Million Lotto MAX was won by Manitoba residents Kirby & Marie Fontaine and in February 2010 two tickets shared another $50 Million jackpot.
