Local woman wins $107,000
When a local woman spent a few dollars for a good cause, she wasn’t expecting to make that investent back with ample interest.

“I’m still in shock a little bit,” said South Windsor resident Elaine Richardson. The 46-year-old special education teacher found out last Tuesday she’d won the third grand prize in the Heart and Stroke Lottery.

Given a choice between a 22-day African safari and a new Land Rover or a cash payout, she went for the cash, a payout of $107,000.
