The island was once the site of a day resort operation serving the cruise lines. A significant amount of improvements have been made to the island including 10 acres of filling and a fully functioning resort facility on site.

The island’s size makes it one of the largest islands available in the Caribbean and is ideal for several types of development. With direct access to the deep water channel, a half mile away, the island would be ideal for a marina based development or a large scale resort and residential project.
