LUCKY & the gang from LotterySquirrel.com decided to travel to Sarnia on Halloween for opening day of what we have VOTED #1 – Best Bet for your money of any fall Ontario 2009 charitable lottery.

This is a beautiful well-built house that is livable, not a monster house.  If you win this lottery, you have the option to take a cash value of $300,000. As soon as we entered this dream home we saw an ANGEL.

LUCKY said we have to purchase our ticket today, as it was a sign from above. The gang has toured dream homes all over the province but have never been greeted by an angel. THIS WAS A FIRST FOR US!

As we were taking off our shoes, the angel was selling a ticket to a nice young couple. While waiting in line, we were approached by a woman in RED, wearing horns. Lucky the Lottery Squirrel was drawn to her as RED in many cultures is LUCKY. Our web guy, Ric, politely said “Sorry, we were hoping for some LUCK from above. With a smile, the ‘HOT SHE-DEVIL’ said “I can take your order; you do not need to wait for the angel to finish.”
sarnia-2009-03She reached for a ticket book — one of many on the table — and placed a ticket to be filled out with the number 0532 in front of us. Ric quickly noticed these numbers added up to “10″ — 0+5+3+2=10.
Could this woman in RED read minds? The number 10 has been very LUCKY for Ric. He won the 10th London dream home. Ric lives in the 1oth largest city in Canada, and 10 black squirrels from London were exported to Kent State University in 1961. Ric has countless connections to the number 10. Ric has had countless wins he attributes to SQUIRREL LUCK.

Both LUCKY and RIC were captured by her mystical powers, neither one could move (both males). Ric was thinking this could be a TRICK (October 31, 2009 – Halloween). Not wanting to lose on the chance of help from above, Ric worked a deal with the angel and the woman in RED to both wear Lucky Black Squirrel pins and hold the potential winning ticket  – #0532.

LUCKY took a liking to both these women and jumped into the photo just as we snapped the picture above. LUCKY would like to extend an offer of a FREE dinner to these fine women if they sold us the winning grand prize ticket. We know the woman in RED likes spicy food, but what do Angels eat?

Ric was fortunate to meet Scott Blythe, the 2007 Sarnia Dream home winner. Scott and his wife Christine (some say an angel) were helping out selling tickets at the Sarnia dream home dressed for Halloween.

After comparing what both dream home winners did, they narrowed it down to TWO things: 1) You have to buy a ticket and 2) You have to believe in LUCK.  Scott and Christine’s lucky number is 7; they bought 7 tickets and won the dream home in 2007. Scott and Christine were moving to Sarnia and were looking for a house. Ric’s lucky number is 10 and he used a LUCKY Black pin to hold the ticket on a corkboard in his office.

Buying a ticket and combining that with whatever is LUCKY for you could make you a winner.

Special thanks to the Sheila Chappell, president of the Blue Water Health Foundation & the friendly ActivEars volunteers who made us feel at home. Adding the Halloween theme made the opening day really special. We almost did not want to go home.

Special thanks to ActivEars.com for hosting the opening day activities and providing volunteers, as well as offering a draw for a chance at a free ticket on this beautiful home.

We hope to be back to maybe take some people out to dinner (remember ticket #0532).  We want anyone reading this post to dream about ticket #0532, so it is drawn January 20, 2010 (yes, the year will end in the number 10).

We have a few videos to post later – this is getting too long.
