Our luck is changing! We won a FREE London Dream Lottery ticket

by Lucky on June 22, 2009

Life is like a roller coaster ride; there are ups and downs. For us it has been a long uphill battle with a new home we purchased Feb 15, 2008.

We are now at the stage where we have requested the help of Tarion — The Ontario New Home Warranty people – to help rectify outstanding issues.  This has been a long tiring process which has taken about 16 months of our lives. We have felt like we were stuck in mud and have been prevented from working at our full potential. Life here is nothing compared to life in the dream home we won on May 31, 2004 in the London Dream of a Lifetime lottery

Most neighbours around here told me they would have given up by now.  The only thing that has kept us going is the birds, squirrels and the idea of turning this into a book. Also running this blog and shipping out Lucky Coins - wink wink. We have spent thousands of dollars documenting, hiring consultants, etc on our nightmare.

My wife has been depressed so many times having to deal with these new home issues. I have told her we have been in a downturn or trough part of our life. She has jokingly wondered what we’re going to do if the LBCO goes on strike. ;) I have told her there’s a reason for everything, and for some reason we were meant to go through this – positive thinking.
MAYBE A BEST SELLER???

I have never claimed to only have good things happen to me. It was a broken arm that led me to purchase a dream home ticket on the Dream home we won.

I have been telling my wife I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Today I checked our mail at the post office box, and it turns out we won a FREE ticket on the London Dream lottery – (formerly known as Dream of a Lifetime lottery). The value of the ticket is only $50, but just imagine if this ticket WON the grand prize 5 years and one day from taking possession of the home we won in 2004

Other forces working against us: We had a customer go bankrupt owing us over $6,000 on services rendered; the company immediately re-opened under an almost identical name (dropped one word). We are both believers in KARMA, and what goes around comes around. With today’s economy you have to be fair with people or you will not continue in business.

The above is not posted to cry on your shoulder or look for sympathy, but rather share how we have been in a downturn or the crapper just like the economy.

Winning the FREE ticket may be just what we need to start turning things around. Sometimes you have to look at things from a different angle in order to turn LEMONS into Lemonade. The trick is don’t give up.

Also watch to see if ticket #140810 wins the $1,111,000 grand prize on the Dream Lottery in London, Ontario on June 25, 2009.
