One of the baby robins I photographed May 26, 2009 and posted under the posting:
Landscaping continues – Robin hits the Jackpot – WORMS WORMS WORMS . . .
This bird in training seems to consider me a good friend and often follows me around. At first we thought something happened to the mother, but we saw the bird being fed by the mother last night in the MONEY TREE on the front lawn.
Last night the bird in the picture above stayed in the MONEY TREE during a bad storm we had. With the window open in my office, I can often hear this robin chirping for me and the mother singing.
The day before, I was using a 10 pound sledge hammer to pound in some fence poles to stake one of the trees out back, and the bird above (this is when I took the above picture) flew onto the fence only a few feet away. Swinging the hammer and making loud noise did not scare the little guy. I told him to stay there, as I wanted to get my camera. He stayed put, and I took a lot of high res photos from different views.
We will be approaching the bird store lady we deal with to see if she would like to sell some fridge magnets of this baby robin or the Rose-breasted Grosbeak photographed a week earilier. So far the MONEY TREE is looking like a wise investment.

The gang at LotterySquirrel.com likes all animals. Even the birds that raid the squirrel feeders
