Tonight we went to our favourite BIG BOX store to pick up a few things. Walking by the “Good to Go” lottery booth, there was a sign saying “sorry for the inconveince” and I believe it also said something about reopening soon. With a 649 – $16 Million Lottery jackpot only 2 days away, I expected to see a long line. The booth was mostly empty with the terminal machine turned off. Being a news reporter for LotterySquirrel.com, I thought I would ask our cashier what the scoop was: why a retailer who had been on the news for selling a winning $18 million dollar ticket was not open for buisness. The cashier told us, but not wanting to print just gossip, we tracked down many news sources for the real story.

Lottery Kiosks in Local Malls Close as Bankruptcy Looms
http://news.therecord.com/News/CanadaWorld/article/477729
Five lottery kiosks in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge have closed along with about 175 others across the country after the company that owns them filed for bankruptcy yesterday.
With the world economy in trouble, the sales of the book 21 Lucky Lottery Tips for Selecting, Playing and Winning Lotteries, available at the Luckology Store, have been increasing at a steady rate.

According to Profile Canada, Infoplace Ticket Centres Limited employs 620 employees with annual sales of $100 to $200 million.
If ticket sales have dropped, and the 620 people above are out of work because commissions cannot cover the overhead, this may reflect a decrease in people playing. If this trend continues, the odds will not change; but the jackpots may be lower and payouts reduced. Are the lotteries in CANADA creating their own stimulus package and inflating the jackpots?
The recent Ontario Heart & Stroke lottery worked overtime to promote their lottery for their early bird draw (good news they sold out EARLY). We were going to pass on playing this draw because of our concern about the economy, but we decided to get a ticket and tell them the reason we changed our minds was because they were vigorously promoting their lottery. We applaud their efforts. Another lottery recently called, and we told them maybe next time. Going the extra mile, working overtime, not giving up, does get noticed. We will be waiting for our call saying we WON BIG, but if it does not come, we feel they deserve to be rewarded.
The gang at LotterySquirrel.com are dreamers – hoping to WIN BIG on the lottery again and many smaller amounts. The day we stop dreaming is the the day we stop breathing. Nothing is going to squash our dream, and yes, you will see us in the media many times to come. But the real story will be on LotterySquirrel.com FIRST.
The book 21 Lucky Lottery Tips for Selecting, Playing and Winning Lotteries, available at the Luckology Store, may get you closer to that lottery win dream.
